: No. Solana uses a completely different architecture from EVM chains. It does not support `eth_*` JSON-RPC methods, does not use Solidity contracts, and requires different libraries. Use `@solana/web3.js` for JavaScript, `solana-py` for Python, or `solana-client` for Rust.
: At 400ms blocks, Solana produces 150 blocks per minute. Applications that monitor chain state in real time need an RPC provider that can serve requests at that frequency without throttling. WebSocket subscriptions are strongly recommended over polling.
: A slot is a time period (~400ms) during which a validator produces a block. Not every slot produces a block. When querying chain state, you typically work with slot numbers. `getSlot` returns the current slot, and `getBlock` retrieves block data by slot number.
: Solana uses an account model where all program state is stored in accounts owned by programs, rather than the contract storage model used by EVM chains. You query accounts with `getAccountInfo` and program-owned accounts with `getProgramAccounts`, rather than calling contract read functions with `eth_call`.
